JONATHAN PUTNAM joined Haynes Beffel & Wolfeld LLP in December
2006. Mr. Putnam is engaged primarily in the preparation and prosecution of
patent applications.
Mr. Putnam is registered to practice before the United States Patent and
Trademark Office and is a member of the National Association of Patent
Practitioners and the American Intellectual Property Law Association.
Mr. Putnam is a licensed Professional Engineer registered in the state of
California and is a member of the National Society of Professional Engineers.
Prior to joining Haynes Beffel & Wolfeld LLP Mr. Putnam was a Senior RF Engineer
at L-3 Communications for more than 2 years, where his responsibilities included
lead engineer for numerous aerospace development programs and the principle
investigator on multiple research and development projects.
Mr. Putnam was also an RF Engineer for Lockheed Martin for more than 3 years,
where he received the Lockheed Martin Prestige Award for his work on the design
and analysis of antenna systems.
Additionally, while working as an engineer Mr. Putnam was an Adjunct Professor
of Engineering at Cañada College in Redwood City, CA from 2004 to 2005.
Mr. Putnam holds an M.S. in Electrical Engineering from the University of
California, Davis (2002) with an emphasis in RF/Microwave and Integrated Circuit
Design. Mr. Putnam’s graduate thesis titled Active Frequency Multipliers
resulted in the publication of "A High Gain 18 GHz Single Transistor Frequency
Doubler" and "Optimized Synthesis of X Band Microstrip Side Coupled Bandpass
Filters” at the 2002 IEEE International Midwest Symposium on Circuits and
Systems.
Mr. Putnam holds a B.S. in Electrical Engineering with Highest Honors from the
University of California, Davis (2000) with an emphasis in Communications and
Signal Processing, and also received the U.C. Davis Department of Electrical
Engineering Citation of Excellence Award.
